Aspyr Media has released an update to their Mac conversion of Spider-Man. The new version is ready for download from Macgamefiles.com and other sources.
Spider-Man is a third-person action game based on the popular comic book and movie hero. The Aspyr title is the Macintosh version of a game that originated on the PlayStation and PC; it’s based on the comic book exploits of ol’ Web-head, as opposed to the blockbuster action film that was released earlier this year.
Version 1.0.2’s primary improvement is better audio performance on dual-processor Power Mac G4s running under Mac OS X. The update also removes the command key as a valid choice in the Keyboard Configuration preference screen. “When the command was assigned to the web action, Spider-Man would constantly fire webs,” said Aspyr.
A free update for users of the game, the 1.0.2 update weighs in at about 1MB.
