United Developers subsidiary MacPlay today announced the release of its conversion of the post-apocalyptic role playing game Fallout 2. It’s available through leading Mac software retailers or directly through the MacPlay Web site, if you prefer.
Fallout 2 is the sequel to a game that made a re-appearance on the Mac earlier this year as part of MacPlay’s Value Series. It’s a role-playing game in which you, as the descendant of survivors a nuclear holocaust, must go in search of the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to help save your primitive village. Along the way you’ll need to stay wary of zones still polluted by radiation a
Originally developed for the PC by Interplay’s Black Isle Studios, which was previously responsible for Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale. The game was converted to the Mac by The Omni Group.
Rated M for Mature by the ESRB, Fallout 2 is available for US$29.99. It requires a G3/233MHz or faster and 128MB of RAM. Fallout 2 runs on Mac OS X only, and requires Mac OS X 10.1.4 or later.
