Charles Fulweiler, the CEO of Casady & Greene Inc. will be featured in the new Vendor’s Voice resource at The MUG Center, the online resource for Mac user groups (MUGs). Also, there’s a new User Group Report online.
The Vendor’s Voice will feature regular updates by some of the Mac industry’s leading supporters of MUGs, according to Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of The MUG Center. He said you’ll be able to find out more about what these companies are doing in the user group community.
The first Vendor’s Voice opens with a page dedicated to the Casady and Greene User Group Program. Fulweiler will talk about the importance of user group relations.
A new regional user group leadership conference, Southeast Regional Conference (to be held Sept. 13-15 in Atlanta, Georgia) is featured in the new edition of the User Group Report, the series of audio interviews with people making news in the user group community.
The Southeast Regional Conference will feature a substantial presence by MUG leaders, according to Joiner, who hosts the User Group Report. Rose Lynn of Gold Coast Mac will talk about what kind of seminars and events are featured, and why any user group leader of any platform would benefit by attending. Michael Rogers of the Atlanta PC Users Group talks about why his group decided to host a regional conference, why they are including all platforms, and look at Mac User Groups from a PC user group leader’s point of view.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
