As MacCentral first announced last week, Oracle Corp. has released Oracle9i Database Release 2 Developers Release for Mac OS X v10.2, “Jaguar.”
Oracle calls the effort part of its “early access program” for the Oracle and Apple developer community. If you’re a registered member of the Oracle Technology Network, you can download the software now free of charge, though you’re required to fill out a survey the first time to tell Oracle how you’ll be using the software itself.
In addition to the database itself, users can download the Oracle9i v9.0.1 thin JDBC Driver or the Oracle 8i v8.1.7 OCI for Mac OS X. More details are available from the Oracle Web site.
