Strydent Software Inc. has no plans to develop a native Mac OS X version of PowerPrint, which lets Mac users print to virtually any PC printer, including multifunction peripherals (MFPs).
“After careful evaluation of numerous factors, including development effort and market need, the development of a native OS X version of PowerPrint is not commercially feasible,” according to an e-mail from Strydent’s Customer Support.
The company said they would still sell and support Mac OS 9 compatible versions of PowerPrint.
