Earlier this month MacCentral brought readers news about an online action of Apple computers and equipment to be held by DoveBid, a company that specializes in business and capital equipment auctions worldwide. Originally scheduled for today, that auction has been moved back to next week.
The one-day auction will feature Apple “computers, notebooks and peripherals,” although DoveBid has not yet specified what equipment will be put up for grabs. This is not the first time that DoveBid has auctioned off Apple equipment; the company did so earlier this year as well.
The auction has been postponed until Wednesday, September 4, 2002. It’s scheduled to begin at 9 am Pacific Time and will continue until 1 pm. The creation of a DoveBid account is necessary to bid on the items. Terms and conditions apply — including the collection of a “Buyer’s Premium” that some MacCentral readers have found particularly odious — so please make sure to read thoroughly before participating.
