ideaResources has released irEdit, a source code/general text editor for Mac OS X.
Supporting dual syntax coloring, irEdit allows for syntax coloring in dual-language documents, such as JSP (Java and HTML) files, while maintaining separate background colors for each language. According to ideaResources, this lets you see the organization of complex and sometimes unfamiliar code and navigate files more quickly.
irEdit’s language dictionary is user-defined. You can create/modify languages as you wish and its Quickfind feature lets you search selected text without opening the “Find” panel.
irEdit is available now for download at the ideaResources Web site. It requires Mac OS X 10.1 or later. Prices are $20 for a single-user license, $80 for a five-user license, and $150 for a site license.
