Byrd Soft, a company that develops information keepers and other programs for the Mac, has released Serial Keeper 3.0, the latest version of their serial number storage program.
Version 3.0 is the first version of Serial Keeper that’s shareware; the registration fee is US$10. The update also changes the former Software List so that it’s the main window and the information window is a secondary window. This has been done to simplify the interface, according to the folks at Byrd Soft.
Serial Keeper 3.0 also implements a “Developer Database,” a list where users can enter software developer information once and assign that developer to all the software the user has from that developer. And in the Serials List you can now store an unlimited number of serial numbers for a software title in only one entry.
Serial Keeper 3.0 is now available for download. It runs on all versions of the Mac operating system from System 7.5 through Mac OS X. However, the current version is the last one that will be backward compatible with 68k Macs.
