The shareware developers at piDog Software have released SimpleKeys, a tool for setting your function keys to type common phrases such as e-mail signatures and away messages on Mac OS X.
SimpleKeys can also be used for chores such as filling out Web forms since it can handle record tabs. The utility is available for download now.
The regular registration price is US$14.95. However, if you register by Sept. 5, you can save $5 off the regular price. piDog also makes other Mac OS X utilities as piPop (a file navigator and launcher), TelnetLauncher (for online bookmarking and launching telnet/ssh sessions), DockSwap (which lets you swap Dock settings), InfoDog (which adds features to the Mac OS X “Get Info” dialog), and piTime (a visual crontab editor).
