Bellvue, Wash.-based Blue World Communications, Inc. today announced the Lasso 6 product line, a collection of Web application development and serving products. The line includes Lasso Professional 6, Lasso Studio 6 and Lasso Developer 6.
Lasso Professional 6 is the server product. It includes graphical administration features, built-in security independent of operating systems and atabases, and more. The new version sports a long list of new features, enhancements and changes, including support for Mac OS X 10.2, “Jaguar.” It’s scheduled for release this month.
Lasso Studio 6 is coming late this year. It’s the followup to Lasso Studio 1.x, and designed to work hand-in-hand with graphical Web development tools like Dreamweaver and GoLive. Lasso Studio offers neophyte and intermediate Web developers wizards and other tools to simplify building data-driven Web site, according to Blue World. New features including syntax checking, debugging controls, LDML 3 to LDML 6 conversion, builders for inlines and URLS, live data previews and more.
Lasso Developer 6 is also coming late this year. It’s an advanced development tool designed for runtime debugging. It includes a single-user version of Lasso Professional 6, for development and testing.
Pricing and specific availability of Lasso Studio 6 and Lasso Developer 6 is coming later this year closer to those products’ release. Lasso Professional 6 costs $1,199, with upgrade prices also available.
