PerfectProof, a company that specializes in digital proofing solutions, will showcase ProofMaster 1.10 for Mac OS X at next week’s Seybold San Francisco.
Touted as the “the world’s first digital proofing RIP” for Mac OS X, ProofMaster uses a color management system that can be calibrated via standard ICC profiles, as well as via Fingerprint profiles. It’s built to offer topnotch color results — especially in highlights, color blends and gray — to ICC profile-based systems, according to John Weissberg, president of PerfectProof.
Internally ProofMaster uses a PDF workflow and accepts all DTP file formats including PostScript and PDF, as well as secure formats such as TIFF/IT, PDF-X1 and PDF/IT. ProofMaster drives a wide range of ink-jet printers from desktop sizes through to large formats. Version 1.10 even includes drivers for the recently launched Epson Stylus 7600 and 9600 printers.
