Panic — makers of the MP3 audio software Audion — are developing a new version of Transmit, their FTP client software for Mac OS. They’ve put the call out for beta testers for the new version.
A complete rewrite of Transmit, Transmit 2 is ending its “deep-in-a-coding-cave development cycle,” according to Panic co-founder Cabel Sasser. The new version sports features requested by Transmit users, while using the same familiar interface.
Panic is hoping to attract users who can test the forthcoming software with a variety of FTP servers. “… while we can’t offer much in return — no money, free trips, or collectable crystal dolphin figurines — users will be able to help shape the future of our product, one suggestion at a time,” said Sasser.
