Just in time for Diamondsoft’s appearance at next week’s Seybold San Francisco 2002 trade show and conference, the company has released Font Reserve 3.1, the latest version of their type management software for the Mac.
Font Reserve enables you to organize, use, preview and manage fonts, and offers server capabilities to do the same for workgroups. It’s Mac OS X 10.2 compatible with the release of Font Reserver 3.1.
Font Reserve 3.1 now features auto-activation for applications including Adobe InDesign 2.0, Illustrator 10, QuarkXPress 5, and support for OpenType, Windows TrueType, double-byte and dFont fonts.
The System Font Handler has also been reworked to provide an automated way of removing non-essential fonts from the disparate folders in Mac OS X where fonts are kept.
Font Reserve 3.1 is offered as a free upgrade for current registered users of Font Reserve 3.0. Diamondsoft said the software is shipping, though as MacCentral posted this article, Web site links still pointed to the 3.0.1 download.
