Maassluis, The Netherlands-based CDS advanced technology has announced the release of
LCedit+ 3.0, a new version of its LanBox lighting editor. The software runs natively in Mac OS X.
LCedit+ 3.0 is used to manipulate LanBox lighting controllers — inexpensive devices that also sport in built in sequencers, faders, patchers, lighting memory and more. Communicating through USB, Ethernet, MIDI and serial interfaces, the devices and software are used together to create elaborate effects for stage performances. LanBoxes are used by theater engineers, lighting professionals, theme parks, multimedia artists and others.
New features in LCedit+ 3.0:
Support for LanBox-LCX and LCM (512 light channels).
New much simpler to use human interface for layers (engines).
Selecting of fixtures/groups on stage by key navigating.
Individual intensities of a group are now also shown.
Printing of the cast list in sorted order is added.
Renaming and renumbering of fixtures/groups is made flexible.
More key shortcuts and CLI commands (also for the Windows version).
Split fades and “add” mixing on LCX & LCM.
Global settings extended for LCX (TCP/IP, DMX-in, digital out.)
Write to MIDI script command on LCX & LCM.
