It measures 5 inches by 3 inches by less than an inch tall and is bus-powered, requiring no external AC adapter. Using a USB 2.0 interface, it’s downwardly compatible with the USB 1.1 interface installed on Macs (and usable at the faster USB 2.0 speed with Macs equipped with Mac OS X and third-party expansion cards, too).
Pocketec advertises the drive as cross-platform compatible with various flavors of Windows and Mac OS, DOS and Linux too. The drive costs US$399.95 and joins other Pockey-DataStor drives in 20, 30 and 40GB capacities. Look for it at retail and mail order catalogs now — custom color cases are also available direct from Pocketec.
