VVI, which makes data reporting and visualization software, has updated their Vvidget Tools to version 8.2, bringing Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”) compatibility.
Formerly called OpenGraph, Vvidget Tools offers a programming framework for making applications that report data in graph, custom map and textual formats. It includes the interactive layout application, VVidget Builder and prebuilt objects. VVidget Tools accepts real-time data feeds from any source and serves as an information visualization engine for real-time financial analysis, transaction, production and inventory analysis, database systems, Web servers and instrumentation.
John Brilhart, chief technical officer of VVI, said that the latest version of Vvidget Tools is about two to three times faster than the previous version. There are also new features that can be accessed through the template layout application Vvidget Builder, without the need for programming. Purchasing info is online.
