Ideas From the Deep and SquidSoft have released an update to SquidCam, their Mac OS X-based video conferencing application.
SquidCam users can communicate with each other over a network connection, either LAN or Internet-based. The software features built-in video, audio and text-based messaging capabilities, and works without requiring any special service.
SquidCam 1.0.1 sports several important enhancements, including the ability to open a connection from another application through AppleEvents. Auto-answer has been added, along with video packet size control, sleep mode, bug fixes and more.
SquidCam costs US$25 per user, with bulk licensing available. A demo version is available for download.
