The G-Force RAID FW features hot swappable components, including key-lockable drives, fans and power supplies that can all be switched out without having to power down the system. It also sports audible and visual alarms that alert administrators to power and drive failures. If a drive fails, the hardware-based RAID system will automatically regenerate data once the drive is replaced.
The G-Force RAID FW sports 480GB of total storage capacity with drives connected to the FireWire interface using ATA-100 bridge controllers. The new system is now shipping with a suggested retail price of US$3,295.
