AfterTen Software has released WeatherManX.menu 2.3 and WeatherManX.saver 1.2, two utilities for weather forecasting developed for Mac OS X. The two are offered together as “WeatherManX Extras,” a US$5 bundle.

WeatherManX.menu is a menu bar modification that downloads current weather data — click on the menu item and see current conditions, the forecast and weather alert. WeatherManX.saver is a screensaver that downloads current weather data and displays it as a screensaver.
Features include multiple city support; Fahrenheit and Celsius measurement; forecasts; weather alerts; proxy support under Jaguar; sunrise and sunset/moonrise and moonset (and phase) times; color icons; and more.
Both new versions have had bugs fixed. WeatherManX.menu has also been enhanced to include moon data.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.1 or later. If you’re using Mac OS X 10.2, “Jaguar,” you’ll also need Unsanity’s Menu Extra Enabler.
