iccToolBox Pro 1.0.4 offers improved resolution and speed for solid 3D rendering. A control to set the background color of 3D windows has been added, as has a color filter that acts as a color managed lens that you can place over other windows or images on your system to view color managed proofs. The application’s toolbar can now be toggled open and closed using command-T; it also has organized all functions in a tab interface. New image utilities enable the embedding, extraction (saving to disk), and removal of profiles from TIFFs, as well as TIFF conversion between profiles.
iccToolBox Pro 1.0.4 requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 or higher and Quesa, a high level 3D graphics library that’s released as open source. Quesa is freely available. iccToolBox pro is $500 Canadian (US$316); there’s a 15 percent discount for any current iccTools customers.
