Pixels Digital, manufacturers of PiXELS 3D 4.0.2, is offering Mac 3D enthusiasts and graphic artists a limited-time “Power Users Bundle” that the company says offers US$567 worth of stuff for $99.
The offer, which runs through Oct. 1, includes PiXELS 3D 3.7, Power User Tutorials (normally $50), four months of PIU tutorials (normally $119), Extras Packs 1 & 2 (normally $199 each). The various goodies in the extras and tutorials include plug-ins, training, and tips for the PiXELS application.
PiXELS 3D is 3D animation software. Its features include: high resolution, true displacement shaders; subsurface scatter; volumetrics; depth of field; 3D motion blur; programmable shaders; and a batch render queue. Though version 3.7 comes with the “Power Users Bundle,” the product is now up to version 4.0. A demo version is available for download.
PiXELS 3D is only available on the Mac. It requires Mac OS 9.1 or later and is supported in Mac OS X’s Classic environment (sorry, there’s no Mac OS X native version).
