The public beta program for Witango (formerly Tango), a development environment for creating dynamic Web sites that are integrated with popular database systems, has started.
First released in 1994, Witango was designed to optimize developers’ productivity in building and deploying scalable multi-tier Web business solutions on Mac, Windows and Unix platforms. Using Witango actions, solutions are built through a point-and-click, drag and drop interface. Web applications can purportedly be created without writing any code.
The Witango 5.0 Development Studio and Application Server for Mac OS X and Windows are now in public beta, and beta testers are sought. Those users wishing to participate must register and agree to the terms and conditions of the beta program. As a part of this registration you will be signed up to the beta mail list, which is for the specific purpose of discussing beta issues.
Both North American and European users can participate.
