Casady & Greene Inc. has added Palm connectivity to their iData Pro database software for Mac OS 8.6-9.x. There’s also a native Mac OS X version of iData Pro and Palm connectivity due “any day now.”
iData is a database application targeted to users who don’t need the high-end features of products such as FileMaker Pro. Its search engine finds whole records or pieces of data and includes support for Boolean searches. Version 1.0.3 fixes several bugs and offers performance tweaks. iData Pro 1.0.3c for now includes iData Remote, which lets you sync iData files directly into Palm OS-compatible handheld devices.
Registered users of iData Pro for Mac OS 8.6-9.x may download a free update to version 1.0.3c which includes iData Remote for Palm connectivity, by visiting the Casady & Greene Downloads page. Your serial number is required to download this free update.
iData Pro retails for US$39.95 and is available for purchase from the company’s online store as a single product or multi-platform bundle. Registered users of InfoGenie 1.x-2.x, QuickDex or Super QuickDex, can upgrade to iData Pro for $19.95; the upgrade is available as an electronic download. QuickDex or Super QuickDex users can upgrade to iData Pro for Mac or Windows by contacting C&G Customer Service.
