1stKIOSK, a company that develops touch screen kiosks, is holding a kiosk presentation for the Graphics Arts Professionals Association on Wednesday, Sept. 25. “Bits to Bucks: How To Make More Money With Digital Tools You Already Own” will look at interactive kiosks and dynamic, digital signs.
“In the last couple of years we have seen a technology explosion followed by an implosion in the advertising world,” said Mitch Krayton, president of 1stKIOSK, who will be conducting the presentation. “The change has been quick but we have adapted. Graphic communication veterans are now comfortable publishing to paper, film, CD, video and even the Internet. So is the market saturated with technology or is there room for something more?”
That “something more” is, in his opinion, kiosks and digital signs. Krayton said his presentation would answer the following questions: How does this relate to graphics and printing? What does the public want and expect? What do your clients want and need? Where are the roadblocks? What do you need to start billing right away?
“Bits to Bucks” will be held at L.B. Mulligan’s Restaurant located in the Vista Village Shopping Center, 25848 Tournament Rd., Valencia, CA. (Call 661-255-3356 for directions). Registration will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will begin at 6:30. The cost is US$18 for members of the Graphics Arts Professionals Association and $24 for non-members.
Earlier this year 1stKIOSK released k-BUILDER, a native Mac OS X, interactive application development tool specifically written for kiosk projects.
