The Chicago Final Cut Pro User Group (CHIFCPUG) has gotten so big, they’re having to change meeting locations. Starting with this Wednesday’s meeting (Sept. 25) the get-togethers will be held at the 250-plus seat Huron Room B at the Chicago Tribune Tower on North Michigan Ave. The move follows a year and a half of CHIFCPUG meetings at Apple’s Market Center.

Tim Wilson of Boris FX will be the first presenter in the new location, showing all their new software including Caligraphy 1.1 and Red 2.5. George Patay will continue his look at compositing modes in FCP and Gary Adcock will carry on with his series on AfterEffects tips and tricks. The meeting will start 15 minutes earlier than usual at 6:15 for a question and answer session.
Due to the move in locations, security at the Chicago Tribune Tower will want to see a list of who’s attending. If you’re planning to drop by, sign up in advance online; there’s a US$5 admission fee.
