The new version of Swift 3D utilizes the RAViX III rendering engine, which now provides options like transparency, reflectivity, advanced specularity and multiple shadows.
What’s more, the software’s SmartLayer technology enables you to import different scene elements into Flash MX with individual layers for colors, lines, shadows, highlights, reflections, stationary and moving objects and more.
Swift 3D 3.0 also sports the EMO Ray Tracer. With EMO you can use bitmap textures within 3D scenes, rendering output with transparency, reflection and refraction, then exporting raster images and animations to JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and TGA file formats, along with Macromedia Flash.
Available now for Mac OS 8.1 or higher (alas, only as a Classic application in Mac OS X), Swift 3D 3.0 costs US$169. Upgrades cost $89, with a $79 upgrade available for a limited time.
