Salem, NH-based Virtix Inc. has announced the release of Virtix Cinematic for iMovie. It’s a collection of 29 transitions designed to be used with Apple’s consumer digital video editing package.
The package includes various transitions including Standard Wipes, Edge Wipes, Corner Wipes, Clock Wipes, Circular Iris Wipes, Rectangular Iris Wipes and Square Iris Wipes. Unlike iMovie’s standard transitions, Virtix Cinematic offers control over the shape and motion of the wipe transition. You can also select from several levels of softness for the edges of your transitions, determine if they should be smooth or rippled and more.
Virtix Cinematic for iMovie is available for online purchase and download from the Virtix Web site. It costs US$24.99. Virtix Cinematic requires iMovie 2.0.1 or later and works in Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.
