Registration, a continental breakfast and time to talk to Apple engineers will take place from 8-9 a.m. The seminar will run from 9-11:30 a.m. All events will take place in the Agnar Pytte Science Center, in the Clapp Building, room 108 (Goodyear Auditorium).
If you plan to attend, RSVP the following info to Apple Account Executive Jeff Feeman: name, title, institution, phone number and e-mail address. Once you RSPV, you’ll receive directions and instructions.
According to Andrew Jones, CWRU Apple campus representative, the Xserve Seminar will offer “three different views — Xserve and the Enterprise, Xserve and Unix Services, and Xserve and Macintosh Services — of how Xserve can improve your ability to meet your delivery requirements.” For instance, attendees will see how Xserve can use enterprise directory services for authentication.
“The presenters will be going over every last detail of the Xserve and will demonstrate its use in several target market categories,” Jones told MacCentral. “During registration you will have an opportunity to review the design and architecture of Xserve and to get some hands-on experience with Xserve.”
A PDF for the event has been posted on Jones’ .Mac account and is available for download.
