Adobe Systems Inc. will be holding a two-hour InDesign seminar at Apple’s SoHo New York retail location on Oct. 1. The seminar will begin at 5:30 pm and will run until 7:30 pm.
Adobe Business Development Manager Stephen Hart will conduct the seminar, which will take an in-depth look at the InDesign’s tools, including editable transparency settings, one-step table creation and typographical controls. Attendees will also learn how InDesign integrates with Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
The seminar is free to attend and will be held in the upstairs theatre at the store.
Adobe made the OS X-native InDesign 2.0 available earlier this year with support for editable transparency effects such as drop shadows, table creation, long document support, extensible markup language (XML) import/export support and an enhanced printing interface.
InDesign 2.0 also supports Adobe’s XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) technology, an XML-based framework for embedding, tracking and exchanging metadata so that content can be deployed more efficiently across different media.
