Netopia Inc. have improved their service delivery platform with netOctopus Enterprise Systems Manager 4.1, a systems management solution the supports both Mac and Windows. The newest version boasts enhanced personal computer software recognition, inventory and audit capabilities and full compatibility with Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”).
A fully scaleable solution, netOctopus 4.1 is equally effective in a network of 10 computers, or in large corporations where hundreds, or even thousands, of Mac and Wintel computers are managed from a single workstation, said Jeff Porter, vice president of marketing at Netopia. The system administration program enables network administrators to “see” every workstation on their network from their desktop, and then “reach” out to resolve any issues. In addition to troubleshooting, netOctopus 4.1 ensures software license compliance by streamlining software inventories and the deployment of updates, Porter said.
