Apple has decided to give .Mac users that haven’t made the decision to sign-up for the pay service a couple of extra weeks to make up their minds. Apple is extending the deadline from this coming Monday, September 30 to Monday, October 14.
“The launch of the .Mac suite of Internet services and software has been a phenomenal success,” an Apple representative said in a statement tonight. “In order to make sure that every iTools customer has the opportunity to take advantage of the special $49.95 membership offer, even the ones who’ve waited until the last minute, we’ve decided to extend the deadline from September 30 to October 14.”
This also gives users a reprieve on having their files and information deleted from Apple’s servers. Files scheduled to be deleted on Oct. 1 will now be removed on Oct. 15 Apple confirmed tonight.
