Macintosh User Group (MUG) members attending the O’Reilly Mac OS X Conference in Santa Clara, Calif., next week are invited to the “Marvelous Musical Mac Mixer” on Tuesday night, Oct. 1, from 6:30- 8 p.m. poolside at the Westin Santa Clara.
The mixer will give attendees an informal opportunity to meet and discuss how the conference content and presentations can benefit their user groups, according to Chuck Joiner, editor of The MUG Center, an online resource for Mac User Groups. Hosting the event will be Marsee Henon (O’Reilly User Group coordinator) and Lorene Romero (Apple User Group Advisory Board vendor relation coordinator). If you’re going, make sure you pick up your free drink ticket that day at the MacSpotlight Booth in the exhibit hall before they run out, Joiner said.
The Mac OS X Conference is tailored to developers, users, and technical staff. The conference promises an in-depth tour of all things Mac OS X, said Tim O’Reilly, founder and president of O’Reilly & Associates, an information source for leading-edge computer technologies.
