Gideon Softworks Inc. has updated Snard, “the Swiss Army knife of launcher programs,” to version 1.6.1. The update adds Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”) compatibility.
Snard can be used as a system menu or from the Dock. It can also be used to open applications as the administrator, help organize your work cycle through the use of Snard worksets, and give you quick access to all your system preferences, according to MacTech magazine .
Snard 1.6.1 also adds a new hot key popup menu option. When activated, pressing option-space shows the Snard menu under the mouse pointer.
Snard is a Mac OS X only application. The registration fee is US$10.
