S. Melbourne, Australia-based Digital Voodoo has released updated software for all of its PCI-based Standard Definition (SD) 10-bit uncompressed video capture and playback cards. The new software supports Mac OS X 10.2, “Jaguar.”
Digital Voodoo D1 and Iridium cards are designed to provide video editing professionals with uncompressed QuickTime-based video capture and playback with video editing software like Apple’s Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. The cards can also output as a second Mac monitor through their SDI output when not being used for real-time video. Some models also sport audio features like sample rate converters and enhanced bandwidth.
Digital Voodoo Software Technology director Gary Drury said that Mac OS X 10.2’s performance benefits would enable Digital Voodoo’s developers to add new real-time effects like color correction and cross dissolves, along with other features in the future.
The new drivers are ready for download from Digital Voodoo’s Web site now.
