MYOB Inc. will announce its partnership with SurePayroll, which provides online payroll services, to offer a new online payroll service offering, MYOB SurePayroll.

MYOB SurePayroll will provide “a cost-effective, easy and secure online payroll service” with automatic deposits, tax filing, reporting and other services, according to MYOB spokesperson Jennifer lee. Available to all small businesses, those with MYOB products will have the advantage of an automatic import of the payroll information into their product, she said.
“A terrific service for both Mac and Windows and Mac based small businesses, MYOB SurePayroll is the first end-to-end payroll solution for Mac users,” Lee told MacCentral.
Businesses that use MYOB’s AccountEdge, FirstEdge and Plus software products have the added benefit of automatic import of payroll processing information into their MYOB product, she said.
MYOB SurePayroll is available through the MYOB Web site or by calling 800-917-4888. Sign up through November for your January 2003 payroll and the enrollment fee will be waived for savings of up to $150, Lee said.
The new service includes payroll processing, direct deposit management, tax filing and payment reconciliation with automatic import of payroll processing information into their MYOB product. The employer retains control of the payroll administration through a secure online account.
MYOB SurePayroll will provide small business customers with access to an online payroll solution and provides a full guarantee that accepts responsibility for penalties associated with payroll errors, Lee said. Employers have the option to provide direct deposit of employee checks or to print checks and pay stubs locally. They have complete access to payroll information history as well as current payroll. Employees receive e-mail notification confirming that their pay has been deposited into their bank accounts. At any time, employees can log into their MYOB SurePayroll Web page to view their pay history and print out pay stubs.
MYOB SurePayroll reduces errors common to the more traditional phone-based services because the small business can see its payroll entries online and confirm that they are correct before transmitting, said Cynthia Mackewicz, general manager for MYOB US. MYOB and SurePayroll estimate that the new service will cost 30 to 50 percent less than traditional payroll services, she added.
MYOB FirstEdge and MYOB AccountEdge are small business management and accounting products for Mac OS 8.6, 9x and Mac OS X. FirstEdge is targeted to the very small business or organization manager that needs to track sales, banking, expenses and customers. AccountEdge is a more full featured product for those small businesses also needing inventory, purchases, time billing and payroll. MYOB Plus for Windows is the sister product to AccountEdge, offering company file cross-platform compatibility with AccountEdge and vice versa.
