As MacCentral first reported last Thursday, Roxio Inc. has updated its CD mastering software Toast Titanium to version 5.2. It’s now available for download from Roxio’s Web site.

Toast 5.2 Titanium adds support for Mac OS X 10.2, “Jaguar.” It also adds CD-Text writing support (to display textual information on CD players that support the CD-Text standard). It also now supports CD-R burners at up to 52x speed. It also improves the color, contrast and encoding performance of video recorded on VideoCDs. Toast 5.2 Titanium also supports DiscT@2 — a feature of certain Yamaha CD-RW burners that enables users to etch visible designs and information to the unused portion of a CD-R disc.
Toast 5.2 Titanium is available as a free upgrade for any Toast 5.x Titanium users. It’s also available direct from Roxio and from retail stores for US$99.95.
