San Francisco, Calif.-based Fnord Software has released Ubercolor, a new plug-in which applies ICC color management in Adobe After Effects through Apple’s own ColorSync technology.

Ubercolor only works when the user wants it to, according to Fnord Software, so it won’t apply color changes “behind the scenes.” The software is optimized for After Effects version 5.0 or later, and has been Carbonized for Mac OS X. It also supports 16-bit color in the After Effects Production bundle.
Ubercolor is being sold for US$49 — an introductory price available through October 18. After that, Ubercolor will be available for $99. A demo version is ready for download from Fnord’s Web site.
