S. Melbourne, Australia-based Digital Voodoo is now shipping a new video capture card for the Mac aimed at digital video professionals.

The D1 64RT is a 64-bit broadcast PCI card. It sports fully digital SMPTE 259M 10-bit SD-SDI capture and output and 6 channels of AES/EBU digital audio. The D1 G4RT also features an audio sample rate converter, real-time uncompressed 10-bit input and playback without video compression, 5 real-time dissolves, real-time color correction, a programmable interface that can be upgraded, and the ability to operate in either 525 (NTSC) or 625 (PAL) television standards.
The D1 64RT includes video genlock, which enables it to be locked to station reference, and also sports a safe picture and title generator and letterbox function as well.
The D1 64RT is compatible with most popular pro-level editing and compositing applications, including Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop, Discreet Combustion, Boris FX and more. It’s compatible with OS X, and works with Mac OS 9 too.
According to Digital Voodoo, some of the card’s real time software isn’t yet ready, but it’ll provided free of charge once it’s done — consult with your reseller or with Digital Voodoo for more specific details.
The card is available now from Digital Voodoo resellers for a suggested retail price of US$3,495.
