WiebeTech adds 60GB drives, cuts prices

WiebeTech Inc. has cut prices and added 60GB 4200RPM drives to their line of aluminum cased MicroGB FireWire/USB2 pocket drives.

The MicroGB is now available in capacities up to 60GB, in both 4200RPM and 5400RPM versions. They come with MacDrive 5 software from MediaFour, which enables Mac formatted files to be read directly on a PC. The new pricing structure is:

20GB/4200RPM, US$179.95, down from $199.95;

30GB/4200RPM, $239.95, down from $249.95;

40GB/4200RPM, $279.95, down from $299.95;

20GB/5400RPM, $199.95, down from $249.95;

40GB/5400RPM, $309.95, down from $349.95;

60GB/5400RPM, $479.95, down from $549.95;

60GB/4200RPM, $419.95 (it’s new so there’s no previous price).
