United Developers subsidiary MacPlay today took the wraps off a new promotional deal that bundles three of its current games together for US$40. Called the “Shooter Pack,” the deal bundles together three 3D action games.

The Shooter Pack includes Sin Gold, one of MacPlay’s first releases. It’s a first-person shooter set in the near future as you assume the role of a cop on a mission to overthrow an evil crime lord who wants to unleash genetically engineered mutant monsters on the world. Heretic II and Hexen II are also included — these two titles, released over the summer, are Raven Software creations, third and first person shooters respectively, set in fantasy worlds.
All three titles are part of MacPlay’s Value Series, and would cost $60 if purchased separately — so it’s like getting one free. The games all work in Mac OS 8.6 or higher (including Mac OS X, with the latest Sin patch from MacPlay), so they’ll run even on many older, slower Macs.
