iccTools have released version 1.0.5 of iccToolBox, a suite of tools designed to assist printing and graphics pros in creating, modifying, evaluating and managing ICC/ICM profiles for several graphic arts applications and devices.
Made with the REALbasic development environment from REAL Software, iccToolBox has a new graphical profile editor. It also has an “opacity control to 3D gamut view,” which allows profiles to become translucent revealing the limitations of layered gamuts. The update adds the ability to hide or show any profile in any 3D view, a grid surrounding all 3D graphs; support for the X-Rite DTP 22 (Digital Swatchbook); support for the X-Rite 500 Series Spectrophotometers; and a plug-in interface for DTP 41 Plug-in Builder.
iccToolBox 1.0.5 requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 (or higher) and Quesa, a portable open source implementation of Apple’s QuickDraw 3D. Quesa is included in a standard install), as well as being freely available online.
