Shareware developer Steve Becker has released
WebPrint Plus X 1.0 for Mac OS X, a set of universal tools for collecting, saving, printing, and editing information.
WebPrint Plus X eliminates browser printing problems and some problems when using Hewlett Packard printers with Mac OS X, Becker said. What’s more, it brings a virtual Desktop Printer to OS X that supports drag-and-drop printing of text selections and clipping files.
WebPrint Plus X can save and print styled and colored text. It includes a universal keyboard shortcut for using the keyboard to print selected text in a variety of applications. This feature works even when WebPrint Plus X is configured to run as a Desktop Printer. WebPrint Plus X includes a built-in text editor that lets you edit and add to the content of your saved information. The editor also supports multi-styled text and can apply colors to text.
WebPrint Plus X offers both a full-display window that can be windowshaded in stages and a compact Tabbed Display. An Add Note window lets you add on-the-fly notes and comments of any size to both saved and printed selections. WebPrint Plus X includes a Find and a Find & Replace feature; a Quick Start Guide; and a Help Tag system.
A free, fully functional demonstration version of WebPrint Plus X 1.0 is now
available for download. The cost is US$34.95. For the next 30 days, PrintMagic X users may upgrade to WebPrint Plus X for $19.95. The application requires Mac OS 10.1 or later and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”).
