Praeco maintains a categorized database of eBay online auctions. You can define which auctions you want to monitor, search eBay for new auctions, and place automated bids at specified times. The software also sports customizable view options, an “all in one interface” that manages all functions from a single window, and the ability to define what global eBay site you wish to use.
According to Praeco’s author, Travis J. Hicks, version 1.5 offers search query options for category, sort order, completed items, and the country for which the items are available. And you get larger blocks of search results with more information per result. Praeco 1.5 also offers:
View options to specify column order;
A countdown field in the item details and item list that displays live countdown of time remaining;
Encryption of the bidding password to help keep it protected;
A preferences option to specify whether items are selected and displayed as they’re updated;
Enhanced selection of time zone using GMT offsets.
Designed to work on Mac OS and Mac OS X (as well as Windows), Praeco — made with REALbasic — runs operates fully functionally for 15 runs before it needs to be registered. A single user license costs US$29.95. More details are available from the Web site.
