Live Channel Pro, the Internet broadcasting software from Channel Storm, has been updated to version 1.4.2. It now supports MPEG-4 audio (AAC) encoding (for Mac OS X only). And all compression options now work in Qualcomm PureVoice encoder.
Live Channel handles all the production and broadcasting steps in a single application. It’s based on Channel Storm’s proprietary Live Render technology that enables video switching, compositing and professional transitions, all performed with real-time anti-aliasing on the multiple live video and audio sources, recorded clips, still images, logos, graphics and text that Live Channel supports. Live Channel comes with a Live Presenter feature, which synchronizes the rich-media presentations with the live broadcasts, and its recording feature that simultaneously records both the live broadcast and the synchronized rich media.
Mac OS X support was added in August. Version 1.4.2 is a free update for current users; for new users, the registration fee is US$999 for electronic downloads and $35 for more a boxed CD. The education cost is $499.
