RSC handles both printing and cutting, as well as offering simultaneous RIP and print capability and several layout options, including tiling, grouping, and a choice of automatic or manual nesting. It also includes IntelligentPrintControl, a color control tool that’s been pre-calibrated to automatically select the best dot size, firing speed and tone curve for each media, according to aid Rick Scrimger, Roland senior product manger.
RSC supports Adobe Postscript 3 for design, RIP and print compatibility, as well as custom ICC input and output profiles. It offers separate Color Rendering Intents (CRDs) for different PostScript elements. The software prints CMYK profiles, boasts, test swatch printing to match spot colors, and can work as either a network server or standalone print station.
The Roland Pro II Series of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters can print up to 300 square feet per hour at 450 dpi. Roland developed the print mode especially for the production of signs, exhibits and POP displays. All Pro II inkjets combine variable droplet technology with print resolutions up to 1440×1440 dpi.
