Apple appears set to open a store in Edina, Mn. at some point in the future. Although Apple hasn’t officially acknowledged the store in its opening plans, the mall’s owners are confident enough to include information about the forthcoming store in their Web directory.
The Apple Store is coming to the Southdale Center mall in Edina, MN, located at West 66th Street and France Avenue, South of Crosstown Highway 62, North of I-494 and between I-35 and Highway 100. The Southdale Center store directory shows the Apple Store’s location on the first level of the mall, located between Mervyn’s and the Mega Star Cinema.
The Southdate Center mall has a storied history — the facility was the first climate-controlled, fully enclosed mall in the United States when it was originally built in the mid-1950s. Edina itself is a southwestern suburb of Minneapolis, located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. It boasts a population of more than 47,000 residents.
More details like the store’s anticipated opening date were not available as MacCentral posted this article. This store would add to another Apple Store already open in Minnesota, at Mall of America in nearby Bloomington.
