Steinberg has released the English language version of Cubase SX for Mac OS X, its professional music creation and production software.

Cubase SX sports features like unlimited undo and redo, and offline process history. With offline process history, you can jump to any individual process — like a reverb you’ve applied, for example — and edit, remove or replace it with any effect you’d like. Cubase SX also features enhanced scoring and playback features, partly thanks the unlimited undo/redo functionality.
Cubase SX also features a 32-bit floating point mixer with surround sound mixing and panning controls; full mixer automation of every parameter is supported. The software also features real-time MIDI plug ins like Quantizer, Chorder, MIDI-Echo, Compressor and more — they can be fully automated, and can be inserted while playing on your MIDI keyboard.
New in Cubase SX is VST System Link, which provides the framework for networking computers through Steinberg’s Virtual Studio Technology (VST) software and Audio Stream Input Output (ASIO) hardware. The technology enables the transfer of synchronization, transport and audio data between multiple workstations equipped with ADAT, TDIF, AES/EBU, S/PDIF and similar digital audio cabling systems.
Cubase SX requires a Power Mac G4, 256MB RAM, Mac OS X 10.2 or higher (Mac OS 9.x is not supported), and Mac OS X-compatible audio interfaces. Upgrades from previous Cubase products start at US$149. More details are available from the Web site.
