Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds is a real-time strategy game featuring characters and situations culled from the enormously popular Star Wars film franchise. Originally published for the PC by LucasArts, Galactic Battlegrounds is based on the same engine used by Age of Empires. Players assume the role of one of several different factions vying for control in the Star Wars world — the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Trade Federation, Royal Naboo, Gungans or Wookies. You can play alone or online as you use hundreds of different units and structures in various battles on land, underwater and in space.
Clone Campaigns takes the game a step further by adding units and locations spotted in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, along with other Star Wars films. It adds 14 missions based around the movie.
The expansion pack also expands the core game’s capabilities by increasing the population limit for armies, introducing upgradeable shields, power cores, new effects and new units for the scenario editor. You can mix it up by using civilizations from Episode II and those from the original game together, and you can replay the original campaigns using new vehicles and technology.
System requires call for Mac OS 9.0 or later (including Mac OS X 10.1 or later), 128MB RAM, and a RAGE 128 or GeForce2 MX (or better) video card. As an expansion pack, Clone Campaigns requires the original Galactic Battlegrounds in order to work.
Look for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Clone Campaigns in stores soon, for US$29.95.
