Praevius Inc. has released a beta version of MacLedger, an in-the-works a Mac OS X only application designed to help individuals or businesses simplify their financial record keeping. It allows for multiple ledgers and an unlimited number of custom transaction categories.
In the coming weeks, extensive reports will also be added, Matt Milano, president of Praevius, said. This will let you see at a glance where your money is being spent, he added. Multiple currency support will also be added in a future beta.
Individuals will have the option to either purchase MacLedger separately, or bundled with MacInvoice for a discount. MacInvoice is a billing and invoice program, which is available for a 10-day evaluation period. During this time, the program will be fully functional, with no limitations. Following the 10-day demo, you’ll have to register the software for US$39.95. To download the 10-day evaluation copy, go to the Praevius download site. An upcoming version (1.5) of MacInvoice is also in beta testing.
“We encourage all users to provide as much feedback as possible, as we will be working hard to implement the remaining features, as well as track down any bugs that we are informed of,” Milano said.
To provide feedback, users can e-mail Praevius or go to their feedback site.
