Apple today dropped the price of the company’s low-end iMac by US$100. The base model 15-inch iMac now sells at the Apple Store for $1199.
Configured at the low-end price, the iMac comes standard with a 15-inch LCD flat screen; 700MHz PowerPC G4; Nvidia GeForce2 MX; 128MB SDRAM; 40GB Ultra ATA hard drive; 10/100BASE-T Ethernet; and a 56K internal modem.
Other built-to-order items, such as an AirPort card can be added, but that of course will raise the price. Apple is also offering memory discounts and other deals on its Web site.
